With a growing portfolio of technologies, including trading tools, auto negotiation, risk management and pricing engines, ION needed a comprehensive brand strategy that told a clear story around the diverse benefits of automation. Moreover, ION needed to leverage the company’s culture of continuous innovation as a catalyst to explore ever more forward-looking solutions that would place them at the forefront of this dynamic industry.

We created an automated visual identity system using an algorithm to create patterns of ions in endless variations, to highlight the beautiful complexity of automation processes. We used this to craft a series of compelling brand designs that could be applied in a wide range of formats, creating a vivid reference to continuous innovation. Through this principle of continuous adaption, we then delivered a communication platform based on the suffix -ion (Imagination. Ambition. Vision.) giving ION access to the 3480 words in the English language to help reinforce their story and drive brand engagement.
