Engaging collaboration for the energy transition

When E.ON announced they would be abandoning energy production from fossil fuels, to focus entirely on developing networks and infrastructure for renewable energy, they knew it would take a lot more collaboration. To fulfil this new brand purpose, they needed to engage partners, suppliers, governments, communities, and their own employees to enable their vision for the future.

With such a diverse audience, E.ON recognized the importance of stakeholder engagement in their business transformation journey. They needed an effective and immediately recognisable visual device that connected communities, at every level, in transforming the way we produce, store and distribute energy. Moreover, the success of this bold strategy relies entirely in convincing individuals worldwide to participate. As such, the device needed to create a clear and comprehensive understanding of the benefits of taking part.

We supported their global campaign WE has no Limits with a brand design system that could cohesively tie both internal and external brand awareness campaigns. The system drew on a visual storytelling device: using bright glowing circles coming together to form any shape to demonstrate the limitless possibilities when people work together to transform the world of energy connectivity.
